The new eCatcher version 4 delivers new security features, streamlined user interface and overall performance improvements.
Devices and Firewalling
This new feature prevents unauthorized access to devices on the machine LAN. Devices connected to the eWON LAN ports can now be declared in eCatcher 4. Access to these devices can be controlled and restricted using easy firewall settings.
Maintenance engineers will appreciate the streamlined eCatcher 4 main window. The improved Active Connection window displays the list of defined devices, for an easier and seamless access behind the eWON.
Talk2M Administration and Reporting Tools
Talk2M account administration and reporting tools have now been integrated into eCatcher 4.
Downloading monthly reports, refilling and checking SMS credit or switching to Talk2M Pro can now be done directly from the eCatcher 4 user interface.
Talk2M Pro Enhancements
In addition to eWON LAN devices, the administrators of Talk2M Pro accounts have also the ability to restrict the access to serial devices and eWON services (HTTP, FTP, SNMP). The firewall rules can be set individually for each user or for different user groups.
Adding or removing concurrent connections can now be achieved easily through the eCatcher 4 interface.
Password Enforcement
Talk2M account administrators can now define the details of their password policy (including password strength, expiration and more) for improved security. For security reasons, the password retrieval procedure has also been completely redesigned and improved.
Streamlined User Interface
Faster login, VPN connection recycling for immediate switch from one eWON to another, more intuitive icons and toolbars and more. Our developers have reinvented the user interface to make eCatcher 4 faster and easier to use.
Multilingual
Talk2M French and German speaking users will be happy to discover the new eCatcher 4 user interface in their own language. The language can be changed at any time via the user interface.
eCatcher 4 is now available for download. Technical documentation can be found on eWON’s Wiki website.
Benefit without delay from expanded security in your remote access operations and enjoy eCatcher 4 !
